SEAN R. DITHOMAS
ASSOCIATE


Mr. DiThomas received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in political science from the University of California San Diego in 1993. Also in 1993 he was inducted as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In late 1994 he relocated to Boston, Massachusetts where in 1997 his Juris Doctorate was conferred by the Boston University School of Law. While at Boston University he served as a senior editor on the Journal of Science and Technology Law.

Mr. DiThomas practiced personal injury and commercial litigation as an associate with the firm of Schlein & McKinney upon his return to San Diego in 1997. He thereafter practiced commercial litigation as an associate with the law firm of Creditor Iustus et Remedium, the second largest consumer credit collection firm in California with an emphasis on creditor’s rights and Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act litigation on behalf of Fortune 500 lending institutions and corporations.

Following his years in commercial litigation Mr. DiThomas joined the San Diego workers’ compensation firm of O’Mara & Hampton as an associate specializing in the prosecution of worker’s compensation claims. He has substantial experience handling worker compensation cases including trials and expedited hearings, with emphasis on penalties and apportionment issues.
